Cyberpunk 2077, which was released in December 2020 and could not meet the expectations of the game world when it first came out, has now started counting the days to go out of the game. Cyberpunk anime, which Netflix announced for the first time in 2020 and has many successful names behind it, got its first promotional trailer today.
The new anime production based on CD Projekt Red’s action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on Netflix as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The anime will be about a street boy’s adventure to survive in the Night City. The boy will have to turn into an ‘edgerunner’, a hired mercenary, as he has no choice.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners teaser trailer:
previously directed by Gurren of Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime Hiroyuki Umaishi, whom we saw in the Lagann and Promare projects, will sit down. Yoh Yoshinari, who made a name for himself with Little Witch Academia and BNA: Brand New Animal, will undertake the design of the characters in the anime.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will only air as a 10-episode mini-series. Although the series does not have an exact release date, it will be released on the platform in September 2022.
