Caitlin Long, CEO of Custodia Bank, talked about the crypto crash. Long said that the massive decline in the cryptocurrency market was caused by malicious actors and regulators.

Caitlin Long spoke about the crypto market on CoinDesk TV’s “All About Bitcoin”. Saying that the collapse was predictable, Long said that trends to exploit cryptocurrencies have emerged since 2018 and that regulators are to blame for not intervening early on malicious players and disapproving well-meaning companies. Long said on the subject:

“Regulators aren’t giving the green light to well-meaning players as they should be, and they’re not judging bad actors as they should be.”

Long also said that leverage poses a problem for the industry, adding:

“I would rather see everything disappear. (…) (rather) rebuild (industry) based on a leverageless business model.”
