Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, one of the world’s most popular first-person shooter games, released by Valve in 2012, has received perhaps one of the most important updates in its history. We call it the most important because this update brought a huge innovation to Dust 2, one of the most famous maps in Counter-Strike history.
There was a location on the Dust 2 map that made the terrorist team advantageous. In this context, at the starting point of the terrorist team, the middle of the map could easily be seen when viewed with a scoped weapon such as AWP or Scar-L. The opposing team could be hit while passing through this area called mid, or the terrorists could count how many players were at point A and how many games were at point B. That’s what happened with the last update. The developer team closed the point where the terrorist team had an advantage with a setting it made.
Where the terrorist team watches the mid now looks like this
Although the most talked about aspect of the update coming to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the change in Dust 2, there are other innovations waiting for the players. The developer team, which officially started the “Operation Riptide” adventure, allows players to meet brand new characters, weapon skins and stickers. In addition, players can now decide how many stages competitive matches can consist of. There are also some changes in other game modes.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s developer, Hidden Path Entertainment, has also made some improvements to the overall gameplay of the game with the new update. In this context, the team that makes adjustments on weapon damage now allows bombs to be thrown at other players. On the other hand, minor changes have been made in the maps named Inferno and Ancient.
