The team of decentralized currency project Eco Protocol has launched a crypto wallet called Beam, which allows users to pay on Layer-2 networks like Optimism and Coinbase’s Base. Beam includes features such as account abstraction (EIP-4884), which offers smart contract functionality, supports advanced features such as multi-factor authentication and wallet social recovery.
“We are bridging the gap between traditional payments and cryptocurrency, meeting an industry expectation of more than a decade,” said Andy Bromberg, CEO of Eco Inc., regarding the launch of Beam.
Andy Bromberg, who founded the cryptocurrency listing platform CoinList in 2017 and became the CEO of Eco Inc. in 2020, stated that Beam is integrated with the user-friendly interface of Web2 peer-to-peer payment systems, where users can access the intrinsic advantages of cryptocurrencies.
