Crypto platform Amber Group received a $200 million investment led by Temasek, reaching a valuation of $3 billion.
Amber Group has raised $200 million in a round led by Singapore-based fund Temasek. Amber’s CEO, Michael Wu, said the fund will be used to accelerate hiring in Europe and America and help meet corporate demand in those regions. In his statement, he said:
Other participants in the round included prominent investors such as Sequoia China, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global Management, True Arrow Partners, and Coinbase Ventures. While Amber has increased its investment to 328 million dollars; valuation of $3 billion.
Amber, a crypto company founded in 2017, provides users with liquidity, market making services, structured products and advisory services. The company, which has more than $5 billion in assets under its management, has more than 1,000 corporate customers worldwide.
