Bit2Me, the first firm to be licensed as a crypto services provider by the Bank of Spain, said it has acquired Blockchain and crypto-focused software development firm Dekalabs.

The company said in a statement that the acquisition will strengthen Bit2Me’s position in helping companies and institutions develop tools on blockchain protocols such as cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The company, which was graylisted by Spain’s regulator Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) mid this year, is expanding its blockchain-connected services. Bit2Me stated that the acquisition will strengthen the company’s activities in various areas.

Saying that the company plans to add 250 employees despite the challenging conditions in the crypto industry, Bit2Me CEO Leif Ferreira gave the following words on the subject:

“In many layoff contexts, now is the time to hold and build. No matter how low prices fall, crypto will not stop.”

Finally, to remind you, Bit2Me had invested in cooperation with Telefonica. More details on the investment in question will emerge in the coming weeks. Bit2Me does not operate in our country.
