El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele has criticized those who criticize Bitcoin (BTC) in a recent article.
El Salvador made Bitcoin a legal currency in September of 2021. Nayib Bukele, who received a lot of negative feedback from the critics of Bitcoin in the 1 year period after this decision, responded to the criticism.
El Salvador President Responds to Bitcoin Critics
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele shared his views on Bitcoin in an article he published in Bitcoin Magazine.
According to Nayib Bukele, if the Bitcoin experiment his country participated in is successful, a large number of other countries around the world will follow in the footsteps of the Latin American country.
President Nayib Bukele, targeting those who think El Salvador’s decision was wrong, said:
Bukele also says that the news about the collapse of the country’s economy, published by major media outlets such as Bloomberg, Forbes and Financial Times, is not true. He added that these allegations are nonsense and mostly because the country has not sold a single BTC since it started buying some BTC.
