PlayStation Plus, which will be reformed in June, is not having a good day, contrary to popular belief. Saying that it has lost users in its online services, Sony made a statement about the fate of PS Plus, which we expect to make a big debut next month. Sony’s expectations from the service, which had a difficult time, were also revealed.

PlayStation Plus has been using the same subscription system for many years. The system, which plays online games for 40 TL per month and gives access to two games every month, will take on a very different structure next month. We shared the details of the system, which we referred to as ‘Game Pass-like’ until recently, with you in the past weeks.

Sony announced that PS Plus lost 600,000 subscribers

Talking about Sony’s annual earnings report, company CFO Hiroki Totoki also made some statements about PS Plus. Stating that the service lost around 600 thousand subscribers, Totoki said that despite this, the service is at a good point. Along with this promising announcement, they said they have high expectations for the PS Plus system, which will be refreshed next month.

However, it was mentioned that there was a small decrease in the number of PlayStation Network users. Although the reason for this is not clearly stated, the pirated use of consoles may be an obvious reason. It is likely that in the coming months, PS Plus will experience a huge increase in the number of users. Therefore, the decrease of 600 thousand within the company may not be seen as a problem.

The company also reaffirmed that PlayStation 5 supply will increase. However, this time, the information was not shared openly. Until the PlayStation 5 supply issues are resolved, the company may have to face further declines in the number of PSN users.
