Actress Yulia Peresild and director-producer Klim Shipenko went to the International Space Station (ISS) on October 5 to shoot scenes in The Challenge, the movie that tells the story of a Russian doctor who goes to the space station to treat a sick cosmonaut. It was the first multi-person film crew to visit. According to a news published yesterday; During the testing of the engines of the Soyuz MS18 spacecraft, the engines suddenly ignited and went out of control, and the International Space Station was damaged due to the mishap, which was brought under control in a short time.

Cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy, who spent 12 days aboard the International Space Station and 191 days in space with Russian actress and director-producer, returned to Earth earlier today.

This was the third mission of cosmonaut Novitskiy.

The space interceptor with the trio, which will set off to return to Russia later in the day, landed in a rural area of Kazakhstan at 12:35 a.m. Eastern time. Cosmonaut Novitskiy, who arrived at the International Space Station on April 9 due to his third mission, spent a total of 531 days in space with this mission. Alongside Peresild and Novitskiy, cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov will also have cameo roles in The Challenge.

The Soyuz spacecraft had a minor accident as a result of its thrusters staying open longer than expected during engine control, and the situation was brought under control within half an hour. Authorities said the crew was not in any danger at the time of the incident. This, along with another incident, was the second accident with a Russian vehicle this year.
