While it is estimated that there will be great developments in the next 10 years, space companies continue to take steps in this regard.

Aquarian Space will launch Wi-Fi on the Moon in 2 years

NASA has some crazy ideas about using the Moon as the center of space projects in the coming years. Because, like Artemis, the countdown has begun for the manned journey to the Moon. As such, some interesting projects emerge. Space company Aquarian Space wants to bring the internet to the lunar surface within 2 years.

Space organizations have important ideas such as mining, colony and bases for various projects on the Moon. So much so that one of the fastest and easiest ways to connect with the world for such projects is through the internet network. Realizing this and starting initiatives, Aquarian Space rolled up its sleeves to establish the first commercial high data communication network in the Solar System.

Aquarian Space had recently announced that it had received $650k in seed funding. The company, which wants to start its work with this fund, is considering the project in the long term. Although it wants to establish a broadband internet connection to the Moon first, it aims to establish a similar internet network to Mars if successful.

Aquarian Space named the new venture Solnet. Aiming to complete all its work within two years, the company has established its plans to launch the first satellite in 2024. However, at the moment, detailed information about the internet network has not been shared. According to some reports, Aquarian Space is undergoing technical review in NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services program.
