A special version of macOS may be in development for the iPad Pro
Majin Bu, who has released many different leaks recently, made an important claim about the macOS and iPad Pro series. According to Majin Bu, Apple is preparing a customized macOS for iPad Pro devices with M2 processors. It is stated that the operating system in question will have mixed features. On the interface side, the operating system will look like the standard macOS with a large icon, while the App Store will allow iPadOS applications to be downloaded. It is also stated that this special macOS, which is claimed to have the Mendocino code name, will be released in 2023.
Offering incredibly powerful processors and high RAM capacities in iPad Pro devices in recent years, Apple has been severely criticized for the limitations of the iPad OS operating system. If the claims are true, the company could bring a rudimentary version of macOS to the iPad Pro models, making the devices finally be called a full computer. Majin Bu, the source of the leak, also attributed the DaVinci Resolve app to only iPad models with M2 processors for this reason. Apparently, Apple will not bring its special macOS operating system to iPad models with M1 processors.
