Although the quality of roads sounds like an ordinary issue, it is of great importance in the realization and sustainability of production. Since production is a factor that directly contributes to the development of the country, we can say that the road quality contributes to the development level of the country, albeit indirectly.

We have shared with you the quality of the roads of European countries before and we saw that our country got a score above the average in that ranking. Now, Asian countries are facing us with the same scoring system. Let’s take a look at where our country is in the ranking.

Road qualities of Asian countries:

According to the points they got on the map, the top 5 countries with quality roads from Asian countries are as follows:

  • Singapore – 6.5
  • Hong Kong – 6.1
  • Japan – 6.1
  • United Arab Emirates – 6
  • South Korea – 5.9

When we look at the roads with the lowest scores, we see Yemen at the bottom with a score of 2.1. Lebanon, which followed it, got 2.6 points. Nepal, on the other hand, scored 2.9 as the Asian country with the third worst road quality.

Turkey, on the other hand, ranked 13th among the countries scored between 1 and 7 according to the quality of its roads, taking 5 points. When we look at the general situation of the map, we can see that the roads in our country are of higher quality than many other places. Turkey ranked 12th in the ranking of European countries.

As in the previous map, the map in question, which was created by the World Economic Forum with the information obtained with the 2019 Global Competitiveness Index, shows the personal user experience of many people, not the opinion of the authorities about the roads. In this context, we can say that they are neutral.
