Noise regulation to crypto mining in some states of Arkansas
Some counties in the US state of Arkansas are rushing to adopt new regulations that make crypto mining facilities subject to the same regulations that apply to data centers. A state law that will come into effect on August 1 includes guidelines for regulating such facilities to control crypto mining activities and protect miners from discriminatory regulations and taxes.
State Representative Rick McClure, who wrote the bill, stated that no one objected to this bill during the legislative process. Local crypto mining companies include companies like Green Digital, GMI Computing, United BitEngine, and Cryptic Farms.
Arkansas counties are taking steps to enact more rules to address complaints of excessive noise from crypto mining facilities. The new regulations include measures to limit noise levels and not disturb neighbors.
