In this context, while the Chinese brand continues to work on the Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Max models, the latest reports reveal that the brand is closer to mass production than ever before.
300 Xiaomi SU7 cars will be produced this month
According to information shared by sources close to the company, Xiaomi’s automotive unit has made a critical decision for Xiaomi SU7, for which trial production continues. Accordingly, 300 prototypes will be produced for the company’s first electric car in December.
First of all, we should point out that these will not be intended for the end consumer, that is, they will not be sold, at least for now. While it is said that these prototypes will be sent to showrooms and some Xiaomi stores in China for display, it is expected that by increasing the production target, the company will eliminate various problems experienced in this process and be ready for mass production.
While the curb weight of Xiaomi SU7 will be 1980 kg; It is expected to reach a speed of 210 km/h. Its length is stated as 4,997mm, its width is 1,963mm and its height is 1,455mm. Powertrain options include a 220kW single rear engine or a dual engine setup with 275kW at the front and 220kW at the rear.
One of Xiaomi’s main focuses for the electric vehicle is on the software side. Accordingly, the SU7 series will be offered with HyperOS, which will unite all the company’s products. The files revealed that Xiaomi was developing a car using its smartphone expertise.
