iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max could surpass M1
For those who don’t know, the Apple A17 Bionic processor is said to have the same 6-core configuration as the A16. At this point, we can say that the real upgrade will be experienced in GPU cores. Today’s Geekbench scores show that the processor that will power top model iPhones will offer significant performance gains.
According to the shared details, the Apple A17 Bionic performs 29,425 points in the Geekbench Metal GPU test. It should be noted that this score is 17 percent higher than the M1, which was released almost three years ago. It should also be noted that the M1 is designed for more demanding tasks and devices. In more recent tests, the A17 Bionic lags slightly behind the M2, showing a 6 percent drop in performance.
If we recall, previous reports showed us that the A17 Bionic processor achieved scores of 3,986 and 8,841 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. These scores indicate up to 60 percent higher performance than the A16 Bionic. Of course, it is worth noting that these results have not yet been confirmed.
