While we continue to wait for the trailer for GTA 6, the most anticipated game of recent years, perhaps even history, there has been an important development regarding the upcoming game. Rockstar Games has quietly removed the name of the Social Club service that players have been using for years. Instead, the company will start using the new (!) brand called “Rockstar Games”.
Statements on the subject were not made by Rockstar Games itself. An X user noticed some changes made to Rockstar Games’ official website. These changes have updated the term “Social Club members”, which was previously used for Social Club members, to “Rockstar Games members”. This was the first clue that Social Club was rebranding.
There are also some changes in the site codes
The account, which shared posts under the username “videotechuk_”, also examined the codes on Rockstar Games’ website. As a result of the investigations, it was determined that the phrase Social Club was removed from the codes of the website. We even see that there is a phrase “Rockstar Games account” in the mobile application of Rockstar Games.
Changes made by Rockstar Games in the codes:
Although Rockstar Games has not made a statement on the subject, we think that the new era will begin with the announcement of GTA 6. The company will make statements about the rebranding process of Social Club during the official announcement of the game.
The phrase “Rockstar Games account” in the mobile application:
