Competition in the mobile processor market continues at full speed. Prominent in this field, manufacturers such as Qualcomm and MediaTek continue to work to make smartphones even more powerful by showcasing their new products very soon. The first player phone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, introduced last week, will be the Red Magic 8 Pro. Finally, new details about the device have emerged.

Red Magic 8 Pro appeared in 3C database

The Red Magic 8 Pro appeared in the 3C database with the model number NX729J. Thus, it became clear that the device will support 165W charging speeds. As it is known, the predecessor of the model, Red Magic 7 Pro, appeared before users with a maximum charging speed of 135W. It should be noted that the list does not reveal other features of the smartphone.

Qualcomm has reached an agreement with TSMC for its new processor. The processor, which will be produced with 4 nm technology, uses 1 x 3.19 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and 3 x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores. Qualcomm includes the Adreno 740 graphics interface that supports Ray Tracing technology in its chipset.

The new chip will provide a 30 percent performance increase compared to its predecessor. In terms of energy efficiency, it has been announced that the new model will perform 40 percent better. Qualcomm underlined that the artificial intelligence capabilities of its new processor have been taken to the next level. Instant data flow will be provided in natural language processing (NLP) operations. In other words, users’ conversations will be instantly translated into other languages.

One of the most important changes in the processor was made on the camera side. The chipset comes with 200 Megapixel support. Users will be able to record 30FPS video in 8K HDR settings. There is also hardware artificial intelligence support in the processor to improve camera performance.

The introduction date of the Red Magic 8 Pro is not yet clear. However, it should be noted that the device has recently appeared in the TENAA and Bluetooth SIG database. At this point, it is known that the devices that appear in the Bluetooth SIG database are on the market about a month later. Therefore, the smartphone is expected to be introduced in China in December.
