Samsung plans to introduce the new generation of Extended Reality (XR) devices that will mark 2025. The device will be a strong competitor, especially to Apple’s flagship Vision Pro series. So, will it be able to meet expectations? Details are in our news…
Samsung is preparing to hit the scene with XR devices rivaling Apple Vision Pro in 2025!
Samsung’s new XR devices are designed to work in perfect harmony with Galaxy smartphones and wearable devices. For example, it is said that popular wearable products such as Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring can be used as controllers with these XR devices. Thus, cross-device integration will become much easier for users and the Samsung ecosystem will expand further.
Meanwhile, it is known that Samsung is turning to strong collaborations for XR projects. While the company is collaborating with Google on software for new XR devices, it is also working with Qualcomm to develop custom XR chips.
While software integrations with Google enable Samsung XR devices to be compatible with applications and services offered by Google, high performance and long battery life will be offered thanks to Qualcomm’s special chips.
Samsung also plans to use micro-OLED display technology to take its XR devices one step further. This display technology will offer a high-level visual quality that was not previously available on more affordable devices such as the Quest 3S.
Thanks to the brighter colors, deep blacks and high resolution provided by micro-OLED displays, users will be able to get more realistic images in the XR experience. The XR devices that the company plans to launch in 2025 seem to have the hardware to compete with giants such as Apple and Meta. Let’s see if Samsung’s XR devices can really meet expectations.
