A Harvard astrophysicist believes he may have made the discovery that humanity has long wondered about and has written numerous books and screenplays on. Astrophysicist Avi Loeb says that a meteor, called IM1, that crashed off the coast of Papua New Guinea in 2014, could contain fragments of alien technology, Business Insider reports.
The quest to prove alien life has always been intriguing, with many astronomers believing that alien life exists somewhere in the universe. However, no evidence has yet been found, and the fact that we haven’t found anything leads many to speculate about UFOs lurking at the bottom of the ocean and other places where alien technology might be hiding.
The technology in question consists of 10 small spheres that appear to be mostly made of iron. “When you look at them through the microscope, they look very different from the background,” Loeb told CBS News Boston. They have gold, blue, brown colors and some of them resemble a miniature Earth,” he said. Also, Loeb says that the meteorite is made of materials that are even harder than iron meteorites.
What’s more, it was moving faster than 95 percent of all stars around our Sun. All of this provides evidence that it could have come from a spacecraft or other “technological device,” Loeb said. Loeb and his team worked with the government to search for a 10-kilometer radius around the meteor’s landing site. They searched the seafloor using magnets that allowed them to discover ten iron orbs.
According to the statements made by the US Space Command to CBS, the probability of the fragments coming from another solar system is “99.999 percent”. Loeb is a well-known name in the quest to prove alien life, and he believes objects like “Oumuamua,” the first recorded interstellar object to enter our solar system, could also be alien technology.
