Cosmos developer Tendermint changed its name to “Ignite”.
Tendermint, developer of the interoperability protocol Cosmos, has rebranded as Ignite. Ignite CEO Peng Zhong told CoinDesk on the subject that Ignite was chosen because it brings to mind “the beginning of change and action” and represents a “product first” focused axis. The CEO also underlined that this change does not involve major changes.
The move came after the success of Cosmos and Terra. ATOM, the native token of the Cosmos network, reached a market capitalization of $ 7 billion, while LUNA, the native token of Cosmos-based Terra, reached a market capitalization of $ 44 billion. In addition, LUNA led the market recovery, rising 14% after the Luna Foundation Guard announced it had raised $1 billion in funding.
