Imagine that your power supply’s connectors are on the right side panel of your case, not the tail. Corsair’s new RMx Shift power supplies do exactly that. It’s pretty interesting that no one else has done this, considering.

On this PSU the connectors are on the side

The connector or cable output of all power supplies on the market is always on the same side. However, this traditional design creates a mess of cables, whether in modular PSUs or old-style PSUs. Moreover, in cases where the PSU compartment is limited, this situation becomes even more complicated, and in some cases, even problems such as shorting of the cables arise.

Corsair’s new RMx Shift power supplies solve all these problems with a simple design change. The connector connections of the modular Corsair RMx Shift are not located on the tail of the PSU, but on the side facing the right side of the case. In this way, impractical things such as bending the cables or tangling them in unnecessarily long distances are prevented. It’s even easier to access the 8-pin EPS connector, located on the top left of most motherboards. In some cases and PSUs, the short EPS cable made the connection difficult, but it seems that such a problem is not possible with this solution from Corsair.

RMx Shift will come with new Corsair type-5 right-angle modular cables and will not have any bending difficulties. However, the new Corsair RMx Shift power supplies will come in 1200W, 1000W and 850W variants. All three models will have an 80 Plus Gold rating. Again, all models also have ATX 3.0 compatibility. However, I could not see the 16-pin 12VHPWR connector in the images, its absence can be considered as a deficiency because this connection is available in the RTX 40 series. For now, there is no price and release date information about the products.
