Copilot era begins in Windows 10
Copilot for Windows 10 will be available first to Windows Insiders. Here, the tool will be activated for end users after being tested for a while. Copilot will essentially work like Windows 11, that is, it will be used as a side window. This window will not overlap desktop content or interfere with open windows. It will be possible to ask questions to artificial intelligence, manage Windows features or interact with documents through Copilot. Visuals can also be produced thanks to Dall-E 3.
On the other hand, this move by Microsoft is not surprising. Even though Windows 11 is Microsoft’s newest operating system, it accounts for only 26 percent of Windows installations, according to GlobalStats. Windows 10 still holds 69 percent of the Windows market. Both operating systems are said to be used on approximately 1.4 billion devices, of which around 400 million belong to Windows 11. Windows 10 Copilot will be previewed in North America and parts of Asia and South America over the next few months. We can say that the release to the end user will be in the first months of 2024.
