Giddy announced that gas fees will be paid in more tokens in the future. A statement came from the CEO of the company on the subject.

Crypto wallet company Giddy Polygon eliminates the need for its users to have this blockchain native token, MATIC, to pay for their transactions. The company announced that polygon users can make gas fee payments with usdc instead of MATIC.
Following this development, the CEO of the company said, “It will support even more tokens in the future.”
The new feature called “Autogas” doesn’t actually take the MATIC out of the equation. Polygon’s sidechain still requires gas payments in MATIC, just as the Ethereum network needs Ethereum. However, by trading between USDC and MATIC behind the scenes, this takes the burden of pushing MATIC away from the end user.
CEO Eric Parker made the following statement on the subject:
“As long as the user has USDC, GIDDY or MATIC in their wallet, they can exchange or send tokens at no additional cost or hassle.”
