We are just days away from Apple introducing the iPhone 15 family. The technology giant will introduce its new phones to us at an event to be held on September 12 at 20:00 CET. This year, like previous years, we will see four models: standard, Plus, Pro and Pro Max.
While the wait for the phones continues, many claims have been made recently about the prices of the Pro models. Rumors stated that Apple was considering a price increase of at least $100 for both Pro models. Another claim made today revealed that the company may not do this.
According to the new claim, Apple will only increase the price of Pro Max
Taiwanese research firm Trendforce claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro model will be released at prices starting from $ 999, just like the iPhone 14 Pro, meaning it will not receive an increase. However, it was stated that the price increase will occur in the larger model, Pro Max.
Allegedly, Apple will apply a $100 increase to the iPhone 15 Pro Max compared to the previous generation, and the phone will go on sale in the USA at prices starting from $1199. One of the reasons for such a price increase may be the periscope lens that will be added to this device. This lens will provide 6x optical zoom, doubling the current limit on iPhones.
In addition, Trendforce says that despite the price increase of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, storage options will start from 128 GB. We can say that this information contradicts the current claims. Previously revealed information said that 256 GB would be the first option on the phone.
Finally, the company stated that the new Pro models will come with 8 GB RAM. On the iPhone 14 Pro, we saw 6 GB of RAM. There is no certainty yet about Trendforce’s claims. We’ll see if they turn out to be true on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, you can take a look at all the features we expect in the new iPhone models below:
