Ethereum software developer ConsenSys has announced that the zkEVM public testnet will go live on March 28.
Zero-knowledge or ZK, a type of cryptography, is seen as one of the most popular blockchain technologies of the year. Many startups continue to produce new things in this field.
ConsenSys’s zkEVM Testnet To Be Released Later This Month
ConsenSys announced in December that it was launching a private zkEVM testnet. After the testnet, zkEVM will be available to everyone by the end of this month.
ConsenSys, one of the best-known software firms working on the Ethereum Blockchain, will launch a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) public testnet on March 28. The Ethereum Virtual Machine, which the company launched in December, has since processed more than 350,000 transactions.
Multiple companies are vying to innovate in the Ethereum ecosystem, seen by industry watchers as one of the most trending blockchain technologies this year.
Many well-known companies are in a race for ZK technology. Later this month, Polygon will go live with the mainnet beta zkEVM. Scroll and Matter Labs also announced they’re coming out with ZK roundups, but they haven’t set a date.
