“Concept” Telephone that will create a revolution in portable photography from Realme
Realme, Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025’te attracted attention with the latest concept phone. This device, called Realme Changeable Lens Concept, allows users to replace camera lenses with full -sized DSLR lenses, offering professional photography experience on the smartphone.

Realme Changeable DSLR LENS PHONE

This concept phone is equipped with a 1 -inch CMOS Sony camera sensor compatible with Leica’s M slot and allows users to use various Leica lenses in the market. Realme offers two special lenses for this device: 73 mm portrait lens (~ 3x zoom) and 274 mm telephoto lens (~ 10x zoom). Beyond this unique feature, the phone is equipped with two traditional rear cameras, the main camera and ultra wide camera. Interestingly, all camera modules, including 1 -inch sensor, are protected by protective glass.

This concept phone is innovative but do not have difficulties; Weight of the DSLR lens, which makes the weight distribution unbalanced. It will cause a disturbing use experience for users who want to take photos with one -hand. In addition, this phone does not have a traditional telephoto camera due to an inch sensor open to replaceable lenses. Therefore, users who do not use additional lens modules have to rely on digital zoom.

This phone is not the first phone with a replaceable lens concept. In 2022, Xiaomi published a similar concept with the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept, which also allowed the use of the Leica M-Mountic lens.

Although this concept is interesting, Realme has not yet shared information on whether this device will enter mass production. With various challenges in terms of ergonomics and user ecosystem, we will see if this will be a new trend in the world of mobile photography of this replaceable DSLR lens. However, this innovation deserves to be appreciated as a step forward in the evolution of smartphone camera technology.
