Intel continues its rise in the 12th generation Alder Lake family with the 13th generation Raptor Lake series. Especially in overclocking tests, we saw that records were broken one after another. The company will be focused on the continuation of this success, so it decided to pull the plug on the old series. In other words, the production of 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake processors has stopped.
Production of Intel 11th generation Tiger Lake processors has stopped!
According to documents released today, Intel has decided to terminate its 11th generation processors, the series also known as Tiger Lake. In documents, also known as a product change notice or PCN, he told customers who ordered processors that some chips would cease production from next June.
Discontinued products include at least 4 desktop and 5 mobile processors from Core i3 to Core i9. In other words, it stops the production of the entire series, except for a few processors that it receives intensive orders. In any case, none of these chips were products that were sold directly to the end consumer.
They were mostly productions for laptop and desktop computer manufacturers making bulk purchases. But it will still affect the end consumer positively. Because after June, we say goodbye to the 11th generation processors, even though the sale continues until the stocks run out.
It will be replaced mainly by 12th generation and then 13th generation processors. For this reason, we can say that the price of relatively newer processors will be cheaper. Therefore, although the money coming out of the pocket of the end consumer is about the same, they will be able to have computers with processors that are more difficult to access today.
The table below contains the affected products, platforms, product codes, S SPEC numbers and stepping information for the 11th generation Core processors that Intel has decided to discontinue. Taken directly from the leaked document.
