Over the past two years, people who have become more connected to technology due to the Covid-19 pandemic have turned to computers and sales have increased after a long time. Interesting statements came from Asus about PC sales and computer stocks that slowed down again in 2022.

Although the problems experienced in logistics led to an increase in computer prices worldwide, a sales momentum that had a positive effect on the technology world was achieved. Taiwanese computer manufacturer Asus, on the other hand, claimed that in 2022, the supply in the PC market will exceed the demand.

Asus: Computer stocks will increase and supply will exceed demand

Important statements regarding PC sales came from Rex Lee, Asus’ Chief Marketing Officer for Asia-Pacific. It seems that Asus has made huge investments to ensure that the momentum gained in the pandemic remains stable. What effect do all these investments have on computer prices?

Asus executive actually stated that the computer market in Europe, China and North America is currently on a downward trend. According to Lee, the downward trend in sales will continue in the coming months. However, Asus stated that they will not have stock problems as of 2022.

The absence of problems in computer stocks will positively affect both new and used PC markets. Rex Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of Asia-Pacific, who stated that “supply will be more than demand” in the market, gave the message that prices may decrease with the increase in stocks.

The Taiwanese manufacturer is also now putting more emphasis on mid-range premium laptop production. Asus has begun shifting its PC strategy to models like the ZenBook and VivoBook series. (You can check out Asus’ latest ExperBook model from our video just above.)
