The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Policy (CAIDP) filed a complaint about ChatGPT with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The development of artificial intelligence and its widespread use also lead to global reactions. In particular, a group of administrators and developers signed to stop the development of artificial intelligence. Among these names are Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak.

A new complaint event marked the artificial intelligence processes. CAIDP accused the creator of ChatGPT of violating trade laws. CAIDP has filed a complaint with the FTC to stop these AI initiatives.

The Battle Against Artificial Intelligence: ChatGPT

ChatGPT, created by OpenAI, has managed to increase the popularity of artificial intelligence. ChatGPT, which has spread globally, has also brought negative thinkers to the market.

On the other hand, ChatGPT has attracted the attention of many people with its commercial and operational methods. The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Policy (CAIDP) argued that the commercial appearance of GPT-4 violates the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act’s article, which prohibits “unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce.”

For this reason, CAIDP filed a complaint to stop offering ChatGPT and similar applications to consumers. The complaint focuses on GPT-4, which has been described as “biased, deceptive, and a risk to privacy and public safety.”

Making a statement on the subject, CAIDP said;

“We found that the model has the potential to reinforce and reproduce certain prejudices and worldviews, including harmful stereotypes and derogatory connotations for certain marginalized groups.”
