Today, it has launched a new investigation for sahibinden.com, about which the Competition Authority frequently initiates investigations. The allegation that sahibinden.com abuses its dominant position by applying excessive prices will be examined.
It will be investigated whether sahibinden.com violates Article 6 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition. The Competition Authority evaluated the information, documents and determinations obtained in the preliminary research at the meeting on 30 June 2022. With the announcement published on the board’s website today, it has been announced that an investigation has been launched.
Investigation of seven companies by the Competition Authority
The Competition Authority’s statement is as follows:
“Sahinden Bilgi Teknolojileri Paz. ve Tic. AŞ, on the allegation that it abused its dominant position in the online platform service markets for real estate and vehicle sales/rental services by applying excessive prices, and that it violated Article 6 of the Law No. 4054. The preliminary inquiry was decided by the Competition Board.
Negotiating the information, documents and findings obtained in the preliminary research at its meeting dated 30.06.2022, the Competition Board found the findings serious and sufficient and decided to approve the findings from the owner of Bilgi Teknolojileri Paz. ve Tic. Inc. decided to open an investigation against him with the number 22-29/469-M.”
