Competition Authority launched an investigation about Yemeksepeti’s various impositions on restaurants by abusing its dominant position in the industry. Yemeksepet has committed to remove anti-competitive practices. The Competition Authority accepted the commitments and decided to end the investigation.
Restaurants will be able to make discounts in their own sales channels
After that, restaurants were free to reflect the discounts they provided in their own sales channels to the food ordering platform. Restaurants will be able to make as many discounts as they wish on their own website, on their own service line and on the gel. It will not have to reflect these discounts on Yemeksepeti.

In addition, mandatory wildcard campaigns for restaurants will now be optional. Only restaurants that wish will participate in the Joker campaign. Restaurants have also become free in terms of minimum basket amount. Valet pricing policy, on the other hand, will continue to cover the relevant costs.
Competition Authority announced that Yemeksepeti accepted these commitments as sufficient to resolve the competition problems of the platform. By making the commitments submitted in line with the decision binding, it was decided to terminate the investigation initiated against the party.
