Bitcoin (BTC) mining company Compass Mining has been sued for not returning customers’ Bitcoin mining equipment.
Especially in the last few months, there has been a serious increase in the number of legal processes on the crypto industry. The period that started with the destruction caused by the FTX bankruptcy also brings lawsuits against the crypto industry one after another. Finally, Bitcoin mining company Compass Mining has been sued after it terminated its operations with Bit River.
Compass Mining Sued By Its Customers
Bitcoin mining company Compass Mining has faced a $2 million lawsuit. Customers who suffered as a result of the company’s operations filed a lawsuit against the mining company.
Customers were impressed that the mining company ceased operations with Russian hosting company Bit River. Compass Mining stated that it made the decision to stop this operation as a result of US sanctions.
Compass Mining’s customers have handed over mining equipment to Bit River to house at its facilities in Russia. However, Compass, which stopped operations, was sued for not returning the mining equipment belonging to its customers.
According to a court document filed Jan. 17, Compass Mining appeared to have terminated its agreements and relations with Bit River, citing sanctions. Following this decision, the company allegedly did not return their equipment to its customers.
