The Super Bowl, the championship game of the National Football League, the American football league held every year in the USA, will distribute commemorative NFTs to this year’s participants.
Super Bowl LVI, the 56th edition of the Super Bowl organization, will also give attendees a commemorative NFT along with their tickets as part of a partnership between the NFL and Ticketmaster.
For now, the NFL is releasing NFTs as a “digital keepsake,” but Bobby Gallo, the league’s Senior Vice President of Club Business Development, said they are considering the space for future ticketing and event attendance opportunities.
Gallo spoke about the subject as follows;
Alongside fans’ commemorative NFTs, the NFL is also releasing seven historic commemorative NFTs en route to Super Bowl LVI. NFT featuring the Super Bowl LVI ticket drawing will air one NFT each day from February 6th to February 13th.
NFTs have also been released for the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals teams. The winning team will also be commemorated with one final NFT after the match.
Crypto exchanges FTX and Crypto.com will be featured in advertising spaces during the event, and there are rumors that rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who have BAYC collections, will take the stage at halftime.
