The iPhone 15 launch is near, and we probably know a lot of things to know about the upcoming four phones. Last-minute rumors continue to come, such as the claim that the iPhone 15 Pro Max name will change with Ultra. Now, a leak has emerged showing the braided, case color-matched USB-C cables that allegedly can be sent in the box with the new iPhone models.
The default iPhone rubber cables are constantly breaking down and we’ve all had to deal with this problem in the past. The easiest solution is to buy new ones. On the other hand, braided cables generally last much longer. Of course, they can also break, but they are definitely more durable.
Apple already sells these braided charging cables with MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. The Apple Watch Ultra also has the same charging cable. And in previous years we’ve seen rumors claiming that the iPhone will come with its own braided cables.

Finally, iPhone 15 braided cable rumors have emerged. It all started when Twitter user Majin Bu showed off images of an alleged USB-C to USB-C cable for the iPhone 15. The cables come in a variety of colors that are thought to be suitable for the upcoming iPhone 15 models. However, the user said that he could not give any assurance as to the source of the photos.
MacRumors then found images of a different Twitter user who reportedly had access to design verification testing (DVT) samples of braided USB-C cables for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus variants. The person speaking to MacRumors said the cables will come in white, black, yellow, purple and orange (pink) color options. These can match the colors of the iPhone 15 variants they will ship with.
If these cables are real, it marks Apple’s move to braided cables for the iPhone. It is expected that the same type of cables will be used in future models. And since these are USB-C cables, they will work with any USB-C device you may have.

We expect the iPhone 15 Pro to follow the same strategy when it comes to color matching. Apple will reportedly unveil the iPhone 15 series on September 12. That’s when we will know for sure what will come out of the box of the iPhone 15.
