The US crypto exchange Coinbase, which has reached 73 million users as of 2021, has announced 6 altcoin projects that it has decided to list.
CELR and STG preparing for the Coinbase listing
The announcement came from Coinbase’s Medium account on July 25. The cryptocurrency exchange plans to list the following cryptocurrencies as part of its 2022 roadmap.
- Celer Network (CELR)
- Nest Protocol (NEST)
- Stargate Finance (STG)
- SuperRare (RARE)
- TE-Food (TONE)
- Radium (RAY)
The above altcoins are currently not listed. In a blog post published today, Coinbase shared that these 6 altcoins are under evaluation as part of the 2022 roadmap. Since this possibility is high, it may be useful to follow the projects closely.
Let’s take a closer look at altcoin projects
Celer Network (CELR)
Celer Network is developing an off chain scaling solution to scale the various Blockchain networks that will run on its platform. Off-chain (or layer 2) scaling solutions are considered theoretically superior. This is because it allows the network to process smaller transactions than Blockchain. This data is then combined into a single transaction known as on-Chain. Celer Network, a successful example of this system, ranks 157th in terms of market value. It is trading at $0.01872 at the time of writing.
Nest Protocol (NEST)
Nest Protocol is an Ethereum-based price prediction platform that aims to improve the crypto market. The network’s native token, NEST, is the native token used in their DAPP, a decentralized smart contract interaction tool. NEST is used to meet the liquidity needs of the platform. NEST, the 253rd cryptocurrency by market cap, is currently trading at $0.0336.
Stargate Finance (STG)
Stargate is a cross-chain liquidity protocol that enables dApps and DeFi participants to transfer assets across networks. It aims to improve cross-blockchain asset transfers, which is a major shortcoming of most existing bridges. STG is the 352nd largest cryptocurrency by market cap. It is currently trading below 90% of the ATH price of $4.28.
SuperRare (RARE)
SuperRare is the NFT platform that allows individuals to collect and sell digital art. The RARE token is used as a native asset on SuperRare’s NFT platform. RARE, the 524th largest cryptocurrency by market cap, is currently trading at $0.2791.
