The officials of the Scientific Information Institute on Coffee carried out a study on coffee, one of the largest addictions in the world. In the study conducted by scientists working at the University of Catania serving in Italy, a remarkable fact was reached. In the aforementioned study, it was understood that drinking coffee was good for seasonal affective disorder. It seems that the cases of depression, which increase especially as the days get shorter, can be reduced thanks to coffee.

The research in question; It was held with the participation of 5,000 people living in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Finland, Italy and Poland. Within the scope of the research, it was revealed that drinking coffee every 4 hours was good for mood disorders. Coffee also helps to stay fit.

According to scientists, 75 mg of caffeine taken every 4 hours has the potential to continuously improve mood. In addition, the amount corresponding to a cup of coffee has the effect of being more energetic during the day, not having sleep problems and improving cognitive behaviors. So what do the numbers in the study say?

Twenty percent of the participants in the study stated that their mood improved after drinking coffee. 29 percent of the participants felt more energetic. Another 21 percent said they stayed awake with coffee and concentrated better after drinking coffee. “There is evidence that coffee polyphenols can cross the blood-brain barrier, exert anti-neuroinflammatory effects and even promote neurogenesis, thereby reducing the risk of both cognitive and emotional impairments,” said Giuseppe Grosso, one of the lead authors of the study.
