The 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), defined as ‘our last chance for the world’, started in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday and will continue until 12 November. In addition to world leaders, 30 thousand people, including environmentalists, giant companies, non-governmental organizations and many more, are expected to attend the event.
One of the speakers who attended the event was the British environmentalist and documentarian David Attenborough, who has appeared in the best planetary documentaries in history such as Planet Earth and The Blue Planet, as well as many other productions, and has written many books. Attenborough managed to impress the whole world with his speech today.

In his speech, Attenborough concretely explained the importance of the Conference taking place now, with the thoughts of future children. Stating that if we are strong enough to upset the balance of the world because we act separately, we are strong enough to save it when we are together, Attenborough said, “This is why the whole world looks at you with hope. You are here for that hope. ” he concluded.
The report, released in August, showed that the world was on the brink:
The report published by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in August stated that the target of the Paris Climate Agreement to keep the global temperature increase well below 2 degrees Celsius this century would not be possible unless major restrictions on carbon emissions were realized in the world. Despite all this, according to other current UN statements, governments are planning to produce twice as many fossil fuels as their promises by 2030, and carbon emissions of rich countries are increasing rapidly in 2021.
