Apple will start removing apps that haven’t received updates for a long time from the store. The company, which sent an email titled “App Store Improvement Notice” to the developers, warned that it will remove apps from the store that haven’t been updated for a significant period of time.
Google Messages error causing phone battery drain
Apple has given developers 30 days to update their apps. If no update is made in the said time period, the relevant application will be removed from sale. If users have previously downloaded it on their device, it will continue to work but will not appear in the App Store.
Developers outraged
Developers outraged by the change, on the other hand, find the decision unfair. Protopop Games developer Robert Kabwe said that even old console games released in the 2000s are still on sale, but Apple has removed even smooth-running apps from the store because they haven’t been updated for just a few years.
