Before the VII output, Firaxis and 2K announced the VR version of the game. The game, called Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 VR, was announced on February 8 at the Civ World Summit event. The first Civilization game for virtual reality titles will be able to play only Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3s.Civilization VII VR will be special for meta glasses
Civilization 7 VR is managed by the team of Virtual Reality experts of Studios, the Australian -based play. The game will provide a mixed reality experience by using the front cameras of the Meta Quest 3 title series, and place a Diorarama -like command table wherever the player looks at. For this reason, Civilization VII VR will present the 4X strategy game of the series in a desktop -like way. Staying faithfully to the name, the game will also offer a virtual reality mode that players can switch between VR and MR perspectives instantly. Another unique feature of the game will be displayed in The Archives showing detailed diyorarama showing one’s game achievements. These can be examined from both MR and VR perspective.
Civilization 7 virtual reality version will be released in the spring of 2025. Civilization VII VR aims to offer a game experience equivalent to the PC and console versions of the game, including online multiplayer mode.
