French automobile manufacturer Citroen, which continues its activities actively in our country, has announced that it has come to the end of the road for its popular model, which it has been producing for 17 years. The company announced that the model was retired, with the last car off the production line.

Citroen C1 will no longer be produced

Citroen has announced that the C1, the representative of the A segment, which it has been producing since 2005 and has managed to sell 1.2 million units worldwide, will no longer be produced. Explaining the reason for this decision as the desire to produce electric solutions in response to the change in the automotive industry and urban mobility needs, the company will fill the void of the model with Ami and C3 cars.

Considering the statement made, we can say that Citroen does not have a new plan for the A segment. Time will tell whether the void of the C1, which was retired with the last vehicle to come out of the Kolin factory in the Czech Republic, will be filled with these models.

It should be noted that the Ami, one of the models expected to replace the Citroen C1, was launched as a micro city car. The car, which comes with a 100% electric motor, will go on sale in our country in March with its seating capacity for two, a range of 70 to 75 km and a maximum speed of 45 km / h.

In addition to this, the successful representative of the B segment, the C3 is another model that will try to replace the C1 that has been discontinued. Known as the small family car in the industry, the C3 competes with successful models of its class such as Volkswagen Polo and Renault Clio.

So what do you think about this subject? Do you think models like C3 and Ami can fill the void of Citroen C1? Do not forget to share your views with us in the comments section.
