Cities: Skylines II console version returned to the snake story

Cities: Skylines II’s console version is still not published despite the initially planned dates. Although the PC version of the game was released in October 2023, the developer studio Colossal Order announced that the console was postponed to the spring of 2024. However, according to recent statements, those who want to experience the console version of the city -building game should not expect an exit before the summer of 2025.

Colossal Order, in a statement about the postponement of the console version called to be patient: “Many people are looking forward to the output of the console version, but we want to clarify your expectations: We will not have a version before the summer. When we are ready for launch, we will inform you with reliable information.” The statement emphasized that their goals are still the same and that they aim to offer the game to the console platforms in the best way.

Technical problems and performance improvements

Technical problems and performance deficiencies are the reason for the postponement of the console version of the game. The developer team said that it continues to work to increase game performance and ensure stability. This additional time is critical to ensure that the gaming experience is smooth.

Original Cities: Skylines had a powerful and generally positive audience. However, after the release of the sequel, there were some tensions between the players and the developer team. In particular, technical problems and the first DLC’s bad management increased the disappointment in the community.
