Cihan Engin, who defines himself as a digital painter, redesigned the symbols of Ankara and Istanbul with his futuristic style. The artist, who has been making artistic productions for nearly 20 years, was met with interest in many national and international media with his series The Time of Judgment.
Cihan Engin aims to show the richness of our own culture to the world through art by redesigning it with the possibilities of our age. We brought together examples from Engin’s post-apocalyptic (post-apocalyptic) Istanbul and Ankara works.

The artist, who graduated from Hacettepe University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department, draws attention with his Cyberpunk style illustrations. Cyberpunk, one of the sub-categories of science fiction, is briefly a depiction of a world where high technology and low life coexist. The artist works interdisciplinary in the digital environment by appropriating various works of art such as painting, photography, drawing and sculpture, which are mostly prominent in art history. The majority of his work consists of multi-layered works such as digital drawing and animation.
After graduating from university, Cihan Engin first worked as a painter and art director in an advertising agency. Later, he opened his own workshop and made various artistic productions such as painting, street art, digital art and cover designs. Starting to work at the “Globsis/Smsnet” game company in 2010, Engin started designing illustrations for mobile games. The artist is the art director of game designs in Google Play and Apple Store, and he draws games for the mobile game company. At the same time, he continues to pursue his personal artistic activities. .
