Chris Hemsworth: Thor: Love and Thunder Could Be My Last Movie

The Marvel Cinematic Universe, which continues to expand with new productions after the end of the Avengers story, will be released in the coming days with the new movie of the popular character Thor. But what might happen to the universe after the movie Thor: Love and Thunder still remains a mystery. Today, a remarkable statement came from Chris Hemsworth, the lead actor of the movie.

In an interview with The Wired, Chris Hemsworth said that Thor: Love and Thunder could be the last Marvel movie for him. The actor also praised director Taika Waititi in his interview and said that he had fun in the last Thor movie. Hemsworth’s statement, revealing that his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently uncertain, was as follows:

“The last [Marvel movie] I made was ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ and this might be my last Marvel movie, I don’t know. Like all Taika Waititi movies, it was a wild, funny and weird experience. I’ve played this character for ten, eleven years, and each time it’s been new and exciting, and this is no exception. It was so fresh and we felt like we were trying something we hadn’t tried before.

I was, as Taika puts it, a weird, wild, romantic comedy set in outer space… I love playing Thor – I’ve played it for many years and I’ll keep doing it if people want to. The hardest part about playing Thor is reinventing him every time, being unpredictable for audiences and something they’ve seen before… It’s a challenge, but it’s part of the fun.”

It’s not the first time Hemsworth has made such a statement about Thor. The actor said in a statement he made after the second Thor movie, The Dark World, that his interest in portraying Thor decreased. But it seems clear that Waititi’s direction did well for Hemsworth.
