The year 2022 has been a year in which designers and foundries made great investments. This naturally means more casting device purchases. ASML is the number one actor at this point, but it could not reflect this to its net profit.
The company made $6.4 billion in sales in the last quarter of last year. In total, 95 new lithography devices and 11 new second-hand lithographs were sold. Throughout the year, sales of 21 billion dollars, 317 new lithography devices and 28 second-hand lithography devices were sold. Customers’ pre-orders for new devices totaled $30 billion.
Net income fell to $5.6 billion as ASML, which saw an increase in all data, unfortunately reduced its profit margin due to increased expenses. Its shares also fell during this period. The firm expects a 25 percent increase in sales and some improvement in net income this year.
