China has achieved a valuable success in fusion power research. China’s “artificial sun” broke the fusion record. The experimental Tokmak reactor, known as EAST, was able to maintain the high -retention plasma for 1.066 seconds.

He protected China’s artificial Sun for a highly involved plasma, broke a new world record for more than 17 minutes, and imitated the fusion process of the sun and took a valuable step towards developing pak power analyzes in the future.

A new world record broke

This success obtained on January 20 was carried out by the Institute of Plasma Physics (HFIPS), the Institute of Physics Sciences (HFIPS) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The new record has left EAST’s 403 seconds of last year’s old record. This experiment shows that the purpose of achieving unlimited power by imitating fusion processes in the sun is one step closer.

Various modules, EAST’s heating system, are strengthened at high temperature and stable work for a long time. Precious engineering issues are tried to be solved to reach the temperatures exceeding 100 million degrees and control the plasma under the control of the fusion power in a stable manner.

East, which has been operating since 2006, is used as a test platform in which both Chinese and inter -country scientists contribute to fusion research. China strengthens the international cooperation in this field with its participation in the ITER program. The ITER project in France and the information obtained in EAST for projects, China’s future fusion engineering test reactor (CFETR) will be a critical reference point.
