Intel’s highly anticipated Arc series mobile graphics cards took the stage and a critical promotion was made in China. Moore Threads, a venture of only 2 years, introduced the country’s first fully domestically developed graphics cards.
What does Moore Threads graphics cards offer?
Moore Threads initiative, which was launched in 2020, developed an architecture called MT Unified System Architecture in this short period of time. MUSA, China’s first domestically developed graphic architecture; It offers support for DirectX, OpenCL, OpenGL, Vulkan and CUDA technologies.

MUSA architecture gives life to two graphics cards in the first place. The MTT S60 graphics card was developed on the 12nm process and contains 2048 MUSA cores. With 8GB LPGDDR4X memory, it reaches 6 TFLOPS.
MTT S2000 was again developed on the 12nm process and has 4096 MUSA cores. It reaches 12 TLOPS levels with 24GB LPGDDR4X memory. Moore Threads was the second company after Intel to offer AV1 support. There is also support for H.264, H.265, AV1, VP8 and VP9.
Cards that can play League of Legends game in Full HD resolution without loss, have not been able to reach new Western technologies in terms of production process and memory, as can be seen. Nevertheless, it can be shown as a very important step in reducing foreign dependency. In addition, the startup is also developing a physics engine called Alphacore that will increase the performance of game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine and Houdini.
