Cherry, one of the leading companies in keyboard keys, announced the MX Ultra Low Profile Tactile keys for laptops, which keep the mechanical feel high but have a very thin profile. The Cherry MX ULP Tactile represents a milestone in keystroke development.
What are the Cherry MX ULP Tactile features?
Cherry MX ULP represented a milestone in the company’s key development efforts. The key, which was only 3.5mm high, aimed to reflect the mechanical feel of high-end keyboards.
Cherry MX ULP Tactile is a new version. It provides a much quieter working environment without changing its mechanical feel. In this respect, it resembles the Cherry MX Brown key model. Ideal for office and home users focused on silence as well as gamers.
The total travel distance of the key is 1.8mm, while the tactile feel point is at the level of 0.8mm. This creates an ergonomic travel level of 1 millimeter. Gold contacts are resistant to distortion and offer high sensitivity. Movement power up to the feedback point is 65 centinewtons.
RGB or single LED lighting can be placed directly under the key. It also saves space as it can be soldered directly to the circuit board. MSI Titan GT77 and Corsair Voyager a1600 computer models were the first products to come with Cherry MX ULP Tactile.
