ChatGPT enters the classrooms
The name “Alnstein” was obtained by adding the abbreviation of artificial intelligence to Albert Einstein’s name, while this robot was built by the three Pascal Schools in Southern Cyprus. Its capabilities have been enhanced by adding OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot to this robot. Alnstein, who has a screen and a face that mimics gestures, answers questions asked of him aloud.
Richard Erkhov, a 16-year-old student who integrated the system with artificial intelligence, said that artificial intelligence is ready to develop exponentially, and said, “It can help in many areas of life, such as education and medicine.” Another 15-year-old student, Vladimir Baranov, says the technology is “amazing” and that the robot mimics human thought and responds like humans.
Teachers involved in the project say AIinstein’s ultimate goal is to be included in the education system. “This is a very interactive experience. Students can ask him questions, give answers, and even help teachers explain the lesson more effectively,” said teacher and project leader Elpidoforos Anastasiou.
Alnstein: Artificial intelligence should not be feared
Pioneers in the field of artificial intelligence, such as Elon Musk, are calling for the suspension of development work for a while. Institutions such as the European Union are currently working on legislation that legally regulates artificial intelligence research. The USA will soon take a step in this direction. In the current situation, regulators are struggling to keep up with the development of artificial intelligence. These delays cause ethical principles to be ignored.
