ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence supported chat bot, has changed the agenda, future and even competition of the internet since the first day it was published. So much so that while many professional groups thought that ChatGPT could take their jobs, Microsoft, which had already invested in its developer OpenAI, invested another 10 billion dollars after ChatGPT, and giants such as Google and Meta rolled up their sleeves to develop a competitor to ChatGPT.

With ChatGPT discovering a new capability every day and OpenAI further developing its chatbot, different industries are pondering how they can benefit from ChatGPT. It seems that one of those who want to benefit from the blessings of this artificial intelligence tool is automotive giant General Motors (GM).

“ChatGPT will be in everything”

GM, which has a partnership with Microsoft, which is currently the biggest investor in OpenAI, for the artificial intelligence-supported technologies it uses in its vehicles, is investigating how ChatGPT can be integrated into cars and increase the user experience. So much so that GM Vice President Scott Miller, in an interview on the subject, says “ChatGPT will be in everything”, reflecting their perspective on this issue.

According to the GM, ChatGPT could allow drivers to interact with their vehicles in a more natural way. In his statement on the subject, GM CEO states that they aim to use ChatGPT in some vehicle models in 2023. With ChatGPT, vehicle owners will be able to perform various functions by speaking or typing. For example, they will be able to indicate in-car temperature or music playback requests in natural language. However, it is aimed to provide a better user experience than an ordinary voice assistant.
