OpenAI, one of the leading companies in the artificial intelligence world, announced Chatgpt Gov, a new artificial intelligence platform, specially designed for the US government. Developed by Microsoft -backed OpenAI, this new system aims to make state institutions safely benefit from artificial intelligence technology.

OpenAI says Chatgpt Gov is a safer version of the Chatgpt Enterprise version. The new system allows government institutions to safely integrate the sensitive and hidden information of the OpenAI models. Moreover, this transaction is carried out in the safe hosting environments of the institutions.

AI for the US government

Chatgpt Gov is emphasized that the state is specially shaped for security, privacy and compliance requirements. This new platform will also provide US state institutions to work in the commercial cloud of Microsoft Azure or in the Azure Government cloud community. OpenAI says that the company’s vehicles can be used for “processing sensitive data that is not publicly open.” In addition, Chatgpt Gov is different from the Chatgpt Enterprise.

Since the beginning of 2024, more than 90,000 employees in the US Federal, State and local governments have created more than 18 million text inputs using Chatgpt for various purposes. Government employees used this technology in areas such as document translation, policy notes, draft text creation, code writing and application development. Thanks to the security advantages offered by the new system, it is expected that it will be widely used especially in defense, law and health sectors.

Felipe Millon, OpenAI’s Federal Sales Unit Manager, said the product will be available for use in the “near future” and that government employees can start to test Chatgpt Gov in a few months. However, the United States began to see artificial intelligence as one of the main elements in competition with China, especially with the President of the Trump.
